Prosperity for Working New Mexicans

Rising costs are squeezing working New Mexicans in District 33, from Roswell to Ruidoso to Alamogordo. Liam will fight to make sure the people who built this region can prosper here.

What Liam will do:

Eliminate the state gas tax any time the average cost of gas in the state is over $3 per gallon. State revenue goes up with gas prices. We can afford to help New Mexicans with this simple measure.

Property tax relief for homeowners and small farms. Support targeted homestead exemption increases and agricultural land protections so owners aren't taxed out of property that's been in the family for generations.

Lower prescription drug costs. Advocate for a state-level pharmacy benefit program that uses New Mexico's purchasing power to negotiate lower drug prices — especially critical for rural communities where the nearest specialist is hours away.

Expand rural housing access. Partner with USDA rural development programs and state housing authority funds to increase affordable homeownership options in communities like Tularosa, Cloudcroft, and Carrizozo.

Disaster recovery that actually works. After the fires and flooding that devastated Lincoln County and other parts of the district, Liam will push for a permanent rural disaster plan, a resilience fund, and streamlined state assistance so families don't wait years for help.
